We are volunteers people in Toli Toli Village, District Lalonggasumeeto, Konawe Regency, Kendari, South East Sulawesi.
We do conservation since October 2009, not only for giant clams but for all marine biota, but the core is a Giant Clam.
The Conservation Giant Clam Marine Park team was work very hard day and night to maintain and preserve of the marine park.
Toli-toli Volunteers Conservation Giant Clam Ocean Marine Park is the first of Giant Clam Marine Park in Indonesia, especially in South East Sulawesi, which has been preserved about seven species type of Giant Clam (Tridacna) of Tridacna Gigas, Derasa Tridacna, Tridacna squamosa, Tridacna Maxima, Tridacna Crocea, Hippopus - Hippopus and Hippopus Pocellanus, from nine species there in the World. This marine park is expected to be Marine Laboratory Base on the high seas for purposes of Education, Research, Tourism, Clam Conservation, Sea vegetables, Coral Reef, Scallops, Sea Star, Sea cucumbers, ornamental fish, lobster and other various Marine Biota.
We are people from a small villages, name it Toli Toli Village, Sub-district Lalonggasumeeto, Konawe Regency, Kendari, South East Sulawesi, felt compelled to do something for the Save of nature conservation, particularly the marine environment and its contents, due to a sense of concern over the fact that there is; that some large marine biota has been on the verge of extinction, the government's efforts in tackling this problem is not maximized, even almost said no matter, the fact that there is, especially for the conservation of the Giant Clam.
